The game separates turn-based and action-based gameplay into two phases.
The first phase, the Armament Phase, is where the player may prepare and
recover their units. They do this by repairing and upgrading units or by
purchasing new ones. The second phase, the Combat Phase, is where the
player takes flight, leading their units in battle. During flight,
the player is challenged to take tactical positioning, rewarding strategies
such as flanking opponents from behind for extra damage.
Originally released for Windows in 2004, the game was initially available
only in Japanese, but an English fan translation was later produced by the
translation group Aeon Genesis.
